EU new harmonised standards under toy safety directive
- July, 2013
Relevant for: Toys & children's products
On 29 June 2013, the European Commission published a communication 2013/C 187/09 in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU). This publication makes the standards EN 71-3:2013, EN 71-5:2013, EN 71-12:2013 and EN 62115:2005/A11:2012/AC:2013 into harmonised standards. This means that compliance with such standards provides presumption of conformity with requirements of the toy directive 2009/48/EC.
By including the first chemical harmonised standard EN 71-4:2013 published on 28 May 2013, the updated list of harmonised standards on safety of toys are summaried in Table A.
